Garbage and Recycling Guidelines
Garbage is collected twice a week curbside. The collection days are indicated on the “Weekly Pickup Schedule”.
Separate your garbage from vegetation and/or bulk. For Manual Collection, wrap or bag, and place in watertight containers made of metal or plastic, not more than 42 gallon capacity, or 50 lbs. For Automated Collection, wrap or bag and place in City issued containers for removal.
As of September 1, 2011, the Solid Waste Authority will no longer deliver recycling bins to your home. You may obtain new recycling bins by visiting our Municipal Services complex, located at 2500 NW 1st Avenue in Boca Raton. We are located approximately one mile north of Glades Road and one block east of NW 2nd Avenue. When you arrive, come to the lobby in building A. Use the phone at the front desk and dial 3367. An City employee will come to assist you. You will need to bring with you proof of residency, such as your water bill or FPL bill. You may pick up your bins between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

All Materials shall be placed in the swale for collection no earlier than 7 p.m. on the day prior to the scheduled collection day and no later than 7 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. All containers must be removed within 12 hours following collection.
