The City of Boca Raton Utility Services Department recently received the Platinum Award, the highest honor for Utility Excellence, from the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA). There were only seven public water systems across the country to achieve this award. The award is based on performance in ten areas including water quality, customer satisfaction, operations, and infrastructure.
This award to the City’s Utility Services Department follows on the heels of the recent confirmation of the Utility Services AAA financial bond rating – the highest possible rating - which places Boca Raton in the top 5% of the utility systems in the country based on financial condition and stability.
The City’s Utility Services Department also received the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) top award for their Annual Consumer Confidence Report (the publication that is sent out each year to all the City’s water customers).
